Diego Maradona has met with the referee who allowed his infamous “Hand of God” goal at the 1986 World Cup.
On a recent trip to Tunisia, he met with referee Ali Bin Nasser who is now retired at the age 71.
Bin Nasser claimed that he did not see the Argentine punch the ball with his left hand over the goalkeeper in the World Cup quarter-final against England. After the game, Maradona said the goal had been scored “[a] little with the head of Maradona and a little with the hand of God.”

Maradona hugged and kissed the man and presented him with a signed Argentina jersey and later in a post on Facebook described him as “my eternal friend.”
Bin Nasser reciprocated the nice gesture by presenting the football icon with a framed photo taken before the game that hanged in his house.
A few minutes after the Hand of God goal, Maradona scored what has been labelled as the "Goal of the 20th Century" when he dribbled past four English defenders to score the greatest individual goal ever seen.
Argentina went on to beat West Germany in the final to win the 1986 World Cup in Mexico which was their second. They have since not won the World Cup.
